5 Run/Cycle Round Cornwall in 8 days

Posted December 18th, 2011 in News by admin

We’ve just received this message from Jayne Angilley!

At the beginning of May, 2012, David and I will be running 250 miles or so, along the Cornwall Coastal footpath to raise money for the Phoenix Stroke appeal. This appeal aims to raise funds to improve Stroke services for the people of Cornwall, ensuring they have instant access to rehabilitation aids. We plan to run this in 8 days. We will be joined by three Colleagues who will be cycling the road version of the same route, and two of whom will be cycling on their Tandem.

We will be running roughly 35 miles a day, although some days may be a little less! We would welcome any runners to join us anywhere on the route for a few miles, and we will also be organising a Barbecue somewhere near the end to celebrate our journey.

More details of our journey will be on our Blog at:

A big Thanks to Kay, and At your Pace for her support with our Venture.

Barefoot Running…..What do you think?

Posted November 15th, 2011 in News by Kay

We currently have various products now in store. Please feel free to express your opinions.

We at At-Your-Pace have always believed that the body and mind should be challenged and that life can be a challenge and/or a very personal journey.

We genuinely do feel everyone can “step into” minimalistic footwear, but it’s the commitment of the individual that leads to whether this is done with safe effective practice leading to success.  Maybe it’s not for all of us?

Nearly 4 years in business has meant I have met a huge cross section of people.  Some who have become good friends and others loyal customers, all who train through a variety of disciplines and distances.  Each one of these people  I consider as an individual, finding  their own comfort and happiness in what they choose to do.  The role of the shop is to assist the customer with the choice of footwear most suited to their needs and wishes.

Minimalistic shoes and me……. on a more personal note, currently the most important thing to me is to get my strength and smile back safely.  Having read and researched the barefoot theories in depth and been on the receiving end of several major surgeries I still believe that a combination of shoes and footwear is the way forward for me.  I’m personally achieving each small goal I set by working and training in  a variety of shoes within structured boundaries, thereby allowing me to enjoy the Hattoris  &  INOV8  Bare-X 233. These products I use for ‘on and off road’ walks, very slow short runs and gym treadmill sessions all of which are challenging my proprioceptors and helping me become grounded again after my most recent spinal surgery.

STRENGTH COMES FROM WITHIN…….Kay
